Skimmer boxes are very essential to your pool’s smooth operation. A pool skimmer box “skims” the top of your water for any floating debris and provides an entry point for water back into your circulation system. Once the debris enters the skimmer box, it gets deposited into the skimmer basket for easier cleaning in removal at a later time. 

Skimmer boxes also ensure that your pump gets a constant supply of water by providing a well where water can pool in before being sucked into the intake lines. Skimmer boxes also serve as the access point where you can attach your vacuum plates to create an air-tight seal and create enough pressure to power your automatic pool cleaners or to give you enough suction for manual pool cleaning.
