Not every Australian pool needs more heat.
The Daisy 525TC Titanium Cool Pool Cover is designed for pool owners who want the water-saving, insulating and protective benefits of a premium pool cover without using the sun to make their pool warmer.
Unlike traditional translucent solar pool covers, the 525TC uses a reflective Titanium Cool surface designed to reflect the sun's heat rather than absorb and transfer it into the water.
This makes it a particularly useful option for pools that already receive plenty of direct sunlight or naturally become warmer than you'd like during summer.
Made in Australia from premium 525-micron material, the 525TC helps reduce evaporation, retain your existing water temperature and keep everyday debris out of the pool – without deliberately adding solar heat.
Why Choose the Daisy 525TC Titanium Cool?
For many pools, particularly here in South East Queensland, the challenge isn't always getting enough heat into the water.
Sometimes it's keeping the pool from getting too warm.
If your pool receives strong sun throughout the day, a conventional solar blanket may add heat you simply don't need. The 525TC gives you another option.
Its reflective surface is designed to minimise solar heat transfer while still covering the water and dramatically reducing evaporation.

A Great Choice for South East Queensland Pools
If you're in Brisbane, the Gold Coast or elsewhere in South East Queensland, you'll know that additional pool heating isn't always something you want in the middle of summer.
Some pools receive direct sun for most of the day and naturally reach a very comfortable temperature without any help.
Others can actually become too warm. If that's your pool, adding a traditional solar-heating blanket may not make sense.
The 525TC allows you to cover the water during hot, sunny conditions to reduce evaporation and keep debris out without using the cover to capture additional solar heat.
For Queensland conditions, we think that makes Titanium Cool a very clever alternative to a traditional solar blanket.

Things to Know Before You Buy
The 525TC is a non-heating pool cover. If your main reason for buying a cover is to use the sun to naturally increase your pool temperature, choose one of Daisy's solar-heating options such as the 525B Blue, 525TB Titanium Blue or 525TG Titanium Green instead.
How to measure for your Daisy pool cover
-
Measuring your pool is simply a matter of measuring the maximum water level width (W) and length (L) of the main body of water. See illustrations below
-
Using a tape measure, measure the length (L) and width (W) of your pool
-
If your pool has steps, measure the step area separately (see below)
-
If you have a uniquely shaped pool, treat it as rectangular (see below)
- We provide all pool covers slightly ‘oversized’ to allow for trimming onsite, using your pool as a template.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Daisy 525TC heat the pool?
No. The 525TC Titanium Cool is specifically designed as a non-heating pool cover. Its reflective properties minimise the amount of sunlight and solar heat transferred into the water.
Will Titanium Cool make my pool colder?
The 525TC isn't designed to actively cool your pool. Daisy describes it as helping maintain the water at approximately the same temperature as an uncovered pool by preventing additional solar heat from entering through the cover.
Why would I choose a non-heating pool cover?
If your pool already receives plenty of direct sunlight and naturally reaches a comfortable temperature, you may not want a solar blanket adding even more heat. Titanium Cool allows you to reduce evaporation and cover the water without deliberately increasing the pool temperature.
Is the 525TC good for Queensland pools?
It can be an excellent option for sunny South East Queensland pools that already become warm enough naturally, particularly during summer.
What is the difference between 525TC and 525TB?
The 525TB Titanium Blue is translucent and designed to help warm the pool using solar energy. The 525TC Titanium Cool is opaque and designed to reflect solar heat rather than transfer it into the water.
Does the 525TC still retain heat?
Yes. Although it doesn't use solar energy to add heat, the physical cover still provides insulation across the water surface and helps reduce heat loss.
Can I use Titanium Cool with a heat pump?
Yes. It can be particularly useful if you want to control your desired water temperature with a heat pump while reducing evaporation and heat loss without adding uncontrolled solar heating.
How much evaporation does the 525TC prevent?
Daisy's current specifications state that the 525TC can reduce evaporation by up to 99%.
Is the Daisy 525TC suitable for saltwater pools?
Yes, provided your pool chemistry is maintained within the appropriate ranges.
Which way does the Titanium Cool cover go on the pool?
As with Daisy's bubble covers, the bubble side sits against the water and the smooth reflective surface faces upwards.
Should I use a pool roller?
We recommend a suitable Daisy pool roller for most full-size swimming pools. It makes removing and replacing the 525-micron blanket significantly easier and encourages regular use. A popular roller that is affordable is the Daisy ST Pool Roller.
