Excessive calcium levels can cause scaling on surfaces and equipment. This product will also keep trace metals such as iron and copper in solution to help prevent staining of pool surfaces. High hardness levels could be caused by adding water from sources such as bore water, or if the pool is a mineral pool. Consult a pool professional before use on a mineral pool.
