Description

Pool equipment is essential, but the noise and appearance of pumps, filters and chlorinators aren't always something you want to hear or see from your outdoor entertaining area.

The Acoustic Box™ Pool Equipment Enclosure (Backless) – 1350mm Wide provides a practical solution for reducing pool equipment noise while keeping your filtration area neat, protected and easy to access.

With its 1350mm width, this model provides additional room for larger residential equipment setups, while the clever Backless design makes it particularly suitable when your equipment has been installed close to a wall or fence.

Australian made and engineered specifically for pool equipment, the Acoustic Box™ combines acoustic insulation, ventilation and durable outdoor construction in one premium enclosure.

The smaller models (< 1100mm in width) will easily fit a filter (cartridge or sand), a pump, a chlorinator, and the power points.

The larger models (> 1100mm in width) will fit a filter (sand or cartridge), multiple pumps, spa blowers, chlorinators and more.

What We Like About the 1350mm Backless Acoustic Box™

What we like most about the 1350mm Backless Acoustic Box is the combination of extra equipment space and a design that works particularly well in tight filtration areas. The additional width gives you more flexibility than the 1100mm model, while the Backless configuration means you don't need the same clearance behind the enclosure for the lid to operate. Add effective acoustic insulation, proper ventilation and easy equipment access, and it's a very practical solution for homeowners wanting a quieter and much tidier pool equipment area.

Things to Know Before You Buy

The 1350mm measurement refers to the width of the enclosure, so it's important to measure your complete filtration setup before ordering.

Backless models are designed for situations where there is limited clearance between your equipment and a wall or fence and are 50mm deeper than the equivalent standard Acoustic Box™ model.

When measuring, don't just measure your pump and filter. Remember to include any plumbing, valves, chlorinators, controllers and other equipment that extends beyond the main filtration equipment.

If you're unsure which size is right for your setup, contact the MOPS team before ordering and we can help you determine the most suitable enclosure.

FAQ's

What does Backless mean on an Acoustic Box™?

The Backless model replaces the conventional rear panel with wall strips and a horizontal bridge. It's specifically designed for pool equipment installed close to a wall or fence where there isn't sufficient rear clearance for a standard enclosure.

What's the difference between the 1100mm and 1350mm Backless Acoustic Box™?

The main difference is width. The 1350mm model provides an additional 250mm of space, making it better suited to larger filtration setups or installations containing additional pool equipment.

How much noise can the Acoustic Box™ reduce?

The Acoustic Box™ is designed to reduce pool equipment noise by up to 80%, with its acoustic performance independently assessed by an Acoustic Engineer.

Will my pump overheat inside the enclosure?

The Acoustic Box™ has been designed with ventilation gaps to maintain airflow around pool equipment. It's important that these ventilation areas remain unobstructed after installation.

Can the enclosure fit both a pump and filter?

Yes. Depending on the dimensions of your individual equipment, the 1350mm model can accommodate a pump and sand or cartridge filter along with other associated pool equipment. Always measure your complete setup before ordering.

Can I access my equipment easily?

Yes. The front door is completely removable and the lid opens from above, giving you convenient access for everyday maintenance and servicing.

Does the Acoustic Box™ come assembled?

No. It is supplied flat packed and has been designed for straightforward assembly without nuts, bolts or specialised tools.

Is it suitable for Australian outdoor conditions?

Yes. The enclosure is Australian made from galvanised BlueScope™ steel with a Dulux® Colorbond® powder-coated finish for outdoor durability.

What colour should I choose?

Acoustic Box™ enclosures are available in a range of Colorbond colours, allowing you to coordinate the enclosure with your home, fence or surrounding pool area.

How do I know if I need the Backless version?

If your pool equipment or plumbing is positioned very close to the wall or fence behind it, the Backless model may be the better option. Measure the available clearance behind your equipment before ordering.
